CHERRY 96

Lemon Cherry Gelato × OG Kush

SELECTED CUT  •  INDIO-ASSOCIATED SELECTION  •  BREEDER UNKNOWN

Two eras of California flower meet in one selected cut. Cherry 96 documents a reported Lemon Cherry Gelato × OG Kush selection, the flower itself, and the work Los Angeles Hash Co. built around its presentation.

Cherry 96 started with a cut and a question.

The flower came to Los Angeles Hash Co. as a reported Lemon Cherry Gelato × OG Kush selection. The breeder was not supplied, and the available record does not justify assigning one.

What we do have is a reported chain of selection: an Indio-affiliated cultivation team worked the seed population, selected an individual plant, and preserved that selection as a cut.

That distinction matters.

One cross does not mean one plant.

Lemon Cherry Gelato × OG Kush describes reported parentage. It does not establish that every plant carrying those names represents the same cultivar.

Seed-grown offspring can express differently from one another. Likewise, other products using similar names do not establish identity with this particular selection.

For that reason, we document Cherry 96 for what the available record supports: an individual selected cut with reported Lemon Cherry Gelato × OG Kush parentage and an association with an Indio cultivation network.

The breeder remains unknown.

The flower in front of us.

The finished flower is predominantly green to olive, built around dense, closely packed bracts with a chunky, roughly conical structure.

Copper-to-orange pistils run heavily through the surface. Visible glandular material creates a frosted, granular finish, while relatively little leaf material projects beyond the manicured flower.

These observations describe appearance only. They are not being used to infer aroma, flavor, potency, effects, laboratory values, or genetic identity.

CHERRY / 96

Cherry points toward the Lemon Cherry Gelato side of the reported lineage.

96 looks backward toward the OG side and the history that established OG Kush in Los Angeles during the 1990s.

It is a creative historical reference—not a claim that Cherry 96 was created in 1996.

Modern candy. California OG legacy. One selected cut.

Two eras. One visual language.

The Cherry 96 identity was built around the same collision as the name: the visual language of modern California flower meeting the weight and memory of an older Los Angeles era.

Cherry 96: Two Eras, One Cut

The soundtrack follows the same idea without trying to narrate the entire history in music: a dusty, heavy hip-hop foundation underneath a restrained modern sweetness.

Dirty underneath. Sweet on top.

STATUS: FINAL MASTER IN PRODUCTION

1996 → THE CANDY ERA → CHERRY 96

The Cherry 96 short film traces the historical idea behind the release: California OG legacy, the rise of the modern candy era, and the selected cut where those histories meet.

HISTORICAL REEL: IN PRODUCTION

What we know. What we don’t.

Cherry 96 is presented with reported Lemon Cherry Gelato × OG Kush parentage.

The selection is reported to have passed through an Indio-affiliated cultivation team responsible for seed evaluation and cut selection.

The breeder’s identity has not been verified. The exact parental clones, breeding direction, original population size and year of the breeding event are also unresolved.

“96” belongs to the creative identity of this release. It should not be read as a breeding date.
